Maurizio Lobina is one of the three Italian producers who founded Bliss Corporation in Turin in 1992 alongside Gabry Ponte and Massimo Gabutti. He spent the mid-90s producing anonymous Italo-dance singles under dozens of one-off project names before the trio recorded a song called 'Blue (Da Ba Dee)' with a new singer named Jeffrey Jey in 1998.
Inside Eiffel 65, Maury is the keyboardist and the principal melodic composer. His fingerprints are on every signature hook the band put out across Europop (1999), Contact! (2001), and the self-titled 2003 record. He is also, on this forum, the unofficial patron saint of the Maury Lovers — a fan subgroup mostly of female teens who signed posts with Maury hearts and ran an unbroken birthday countdown for him every year.
Outside Eiffel 65, Maury kept producing through Bliss Corporation across the early 2000s, working with Italian acts on the label's wider roster. He stayed close to the studio side of the project longer than either Gabry or Jeffrey, and remained the band's musical center when the group reunited in 2010 with a different lineup.
